Harvest View Stables is a friendly, family-oriented
riding and boarding facility adjacent to the PA
State Gamelands between Elizabethtown and
Mount Gretna. Husband and wife owners, Dave
Garber and Cindy Gilbert moved to the property,
formerly known as BarKay Stables, in November,
1999. A graduate of Franklin & Marshall College
and a horse person since childhood, Cindy
manages the stable and the lesson program. In
the fall and winter months, she fox hunts with The
Beaufort Hunt in Harrisburg. Cindy and Dave
serve on the advisory board of the Lost & Found
Horse Rescue. (Click here to view an article in
the Elizabethtown Chronicle detailing much of
this relationship.) The couple live in the house
overlooking the stable, and their twin daughters,
Julie and Jessica, are recent graduates of the
University of Pittsburgh.
Boarders and students enjoy riding through
scenic countryside. Our stable offers spacious
box stalls and four large pastures provide
extensive turn-out for our horses. Click here for
more info on boarding.
Our lesson program accommodates all levels and
goals, and students choose from private or small
group lessons. We offer instruction in hunter
seat riding. Click here for more info on our lesson
program.

We often participate in local schooling shows, hunter paces and
hunter trials. Students are invited to accompany us and those
owning or leasing a horse may compete if they wish.
