Meet Heidi Bardy

Heidi Bardy is a Chicago native, and is a terrific
member of our lesson staff. She graduated from
Houghton College, Houghton, NY with a B.A. in
Psychology and an equestrian studies minor.
While at Houghton, she studied abroad in both
Tanzania and England. In addition, she gained
experience instructing lesson students and
supervising riding camps while she attended
college.
After graduating from Houghton, Heidi was an
instructor and barn manager at Glen Grove
Equestrian Center in Morton Grove, IL. There,
she instructed beginner- through advanced-level
hunter/jumper riding students in both private and
group lessons. As barn manager, she was
responsible for the health needs of 90 horses,
and she trained incoming staff and student
workers in horsemanship and safety.
Heidi is a Certified Horsemanship Association
Instructor, Level II in English and Western riding.
In addition to horses, Heidi enjoys playing the
piano and writing poetry. Heidi was with us for
three years and has become a beloved friend.
She is currently travelling and pursuing outdoor
studies at a number of schools across the
country.
