Join our school program
At Harvest View Stables, we welcome horse
enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.
Instructors Barb Royer, Betsy Klenk, Amanda Brandt and Alisa Pitt  join Cindy Gilbert
in the school program. We offer lessons Tuesday through Saturday, and lessons
typically last one hour. For young children, we recommend our one-half-hour lessons.

Safety is of utmost importance, and your lesson includes proper handling and
grooming techniques, as well as riding in one of our arenas. If you are interested in
riding cross country, we offer guided cross country lessons once you have
demonstrated that you can halt your horse from a walk, trot and canter in the arena.

Our students who wish to show, but who do not yet own a horse, may choose to
partial-lease a school horse. Our partial-lease program includes weekly lessons
and/or practice rides, along with the privilege of using the horse for off-site events
such as horse shows, fox hunts, paper chases and hunter paces.

Lesson Student
Incentive Program
We've developed a referral program to
encourage our students to bring their
friends to Harvest View. When a
student refers a new regular lesson
student (defined as someone taking
at least six lessons in a three-month
period), that student will receive a free
riding lesson. Additionally, if you refer
someone to one of our summer day
camps, you will receive 15% off your
camp tuition. If you have questions or
would like more info, please get in
touch with Cindy.
We require a 24-hour cancellation notice if you must miss your scheduled lesson.
You may schedule a make-up lesson within a week to avoid a cancellation fee.

We encourage students to check in approximately 15 minutes prior to their lesson.

All students must wear long pants, protective head gear* and hard-soled shoes or
boots. If you don't have a helmet, you may borrow one of ours for your first few
lessons.

*Head gear should be an approved ASTM helmet. Don't buy a used helmet from
an unknown owner or shop, because if a fall has taken place, it may have affected
the helmet's safety and integrity.
