Learn the ins and outs of riding in a Combined Test! This Riding Academy session will be tailored to those who are new to eventing and who would like to participate in our upcomng Last Hurrah Combined Test on Saturday, December 21st. Participants will receive a $10 discount on their Combined Test entry fee.
Groups are open to riders of all skill levels. Dress for the weather and pack a lunch.
We will teach students how to ride a basic dressage test, giving them an opportunity to practice their test of choice for the competition. We'll also demonstrate how to walk a show jumping course, focusing on counting strides, planning turns, finding focal points and keeping a steady rhythm. We'll review the entire process from arriving at the barn, grooming, tacking and warming up mounts and providing proper aftercare.
